Requires combination of education and law enforcement and/or correctional experience; certification as a general/specialized instructor with North Carolina Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission and/or North Carolina Sheriff’s Education and Training Standards Commission. Must maintain Department of Correction security clearance. Responsible for teaching course content, preparing and keeping appropriate records and syllabie for all assigned courses.  Instructor will provide effective instruction in mandated and non-mandated law enforcement and correctional classes, instructing police officers, deputy sheriff’s, detention officers, telecommunicators and certified correctional staff.  Salary: $21.00-$23.00/hr.
