Ziggy, a shy boy, is terrified of hurricanes, mongooses, and a host of other things in his home country of Jamaica. He would rather stay at home and watch TV than explore the island. But with some help from his friend Nansi, he realizes that real adventures can be found outside, amid the birds, the jungles and beaches.
