Auditions for Three Little Birds

Those auditioning should be prepared to sing 16 bars of an uptempo song (acapella),
– learn a dance combination,(wear clothing for freedom of movement and shoes suitable for dancing)
– do a cold read from the sides that will be provided.

Ziggy, a shy boy, is terrified of hurricanes, mongooses, and a host of other things in his home country of Jamaica. He would rather stay at home and watch TV than explore the island. But with some help from his friend Nansi, he realizes that real adventures can be found outside, amid the birds, the jungles and beaches. The powerful message of love, peace and harmony through the reggae music of Bob Marley, allows Ziggy to find the self confidence inside himself to discover the wonders in life.

The Kirby Cultural Arts Complex encourages actors of any ethnicity, identity, ability, etc. to audition.

Cast Needed:
1 female (African American) Age 17 years old to adult (Cedella)
1 male (African American) Age 17 years old to adult (Duppy)
1 male (African American) Age 13 years old to 17 years old (Ziggy)
1 female (African American) Age 13 years old to 17 years old (Nansi)
3 females, any ethnicity, Age 13 years old to 17 years old (Ensemble)
3 males, any ethnicity, Age 13 years old to 17 years old (Ensemble)
The Ensemble will be villagers, birds, grandparents, dancers.

NOTE: There will be three days of morning performances.
Cast members MUST BE AVAILABLE for those mornings performances.
