This short-term healthcare training will allow successful students be eligible to take the competency exam and demonstrate skills requirements necessary to qualify for listing on the North Carolina Medication Aide Registry. The cost for the program, fee, exam, and textbook, is under $150 and provides skills for employment.
Course topics include:
• Medication administration via the oral, topical, and instillation routes
• Medical asepsis
• Hand hygiene
• Terminology
• Legal implications
To enroll in this course, a student must be a high school or high school equivalency graduate and be listed on the NC Nurse Aide I Registry.
Registration can be completed online at www.piedmontcc.edu/medaide, in person on either of PCC’s campus locations (Caswell County Campus at 331 Piedmont Drive in Yanceyville or Person County Campus at 1715 College Drive in Roxboro), or by calling (336) 694-8064.
