Piedmont Community College’s (PCC) Small Business Center will offer a free seminar on Tuesday, October 22, 6 – 8 p.m. on the Caswell County Campus in Yanceyville.
If you are a small business owner who would rather do anything except market your business, you are not alone. Most small business owners feel that way, according to Emily Ballance, professional speaker and entrepreneur who has successfully owned and marketed two businesses for more than 25 years.
Ballance will speak on “Inexpensive and Creative Ways to Market Your Small Business,” during this free that is open to the public.
“Many business owners think they have to spend a lot of money on marketing, but that’s not true,” Ballance says. “There are lots creative, low cost ideas. The same approaches don’t work for everyone, so we will take time to discuss which ones work best for different kinds of businesses.”
“If you have business cards, bring them,” Ballance said. “But it’s OK if you’re just getting started or don’t have any. This is a fun, informative, and interactive presentation. You’ll leave with lots of ideas, plus it’s a great chance to meet people and market! Just come with an open mind and willingness to consider different ideas. You never know where those ideas will lead.”
Ballance speaks on business related topics at Small Business Centers throughout the North Carolina Community College System. She also travels across the country presenting keynotes and trainings on stress management, generations, communication, as well as other topics which are listed on her website at www.emilyballance.com.
