Piedmont Community College (PCC) is offering two healthcare courses this summer to move those interested in serving their community, helping others, and saving lives, a little closer to achieving their career goals.
The Healthcare Provider CPR course is held on July 17 and is available to individuals who are currently employed or are seeking employment in the healthcare industry. Completion of this course will grant students Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Space is limited, with only 10 seats available, so early registration is encouraged.
The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) course is available for anyone interested in becoming an EMT and begins on Aug. 18. Once completed, the EMT graduates will have the opportunity to become state and nationally certified to become fully licensed EMTs. Scholarships are available for those interested in this program, and applications can be found at www.piedmontcc.edu/emt.
