PCC assists local fire departments with new equipment for training

PCC provides training for all local fire departments in both Caswell and Person counties. The recent purchase of three ConEx trailers, in addition to props built by students in PCC’s Corrections Education Carpentry program, will aid in developing first responder and fire safety skills.

Piedmont Community College graduates to hear from Lopez and Bowers, both Class of 2012, at Friday’s Ceremony

On Friday, May 17, PCC will host the 2019 commencement ceremony in the courtyard of the College’s Person County Campus, weather permitting. During the ceremony, Lopez, along with PCC President Dr. Pamela G. Senegal, will award the North Carolina Community College System Office Academic Excellence Award to a Piedmont Community College graduate.This special event will be held at 7 p.m. and is open to the public.

Twenty-six students inducted into PCC’s Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society

During the ceremony, students heard from current PTK President Tiffani Woods. She shared her experience of getting involved and personal growth and encouraged them to expand their involvement in an effort to enhance their experience as a college student. “I encourage you all to get involved and be active in this chapter. PCC to offer Notary Public class June 3 & 5 in Roxboro

The next Notary Public class through PCC will be held on Monday and Wednesday, June 3 and 5, 6–9 p.m. at PCC’s Business Development and Entrepreneurship Center located in Uptown Roxboro. Registration and payment of the fee is required prior to the class date to reserve space in the class. To register, call (336) 599-0032.
