NEW! Instructional Technology: Digital CitizenshipMarch 31 – May 14

 

Attention: Due to the seriousness of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) global pandemic, the Digital Citizenship course beginning March 31, has changed from a hybrid course to a complete online delivery format.

 

This course will prepare teachers to model and teach digital citizenship with ethical, respectful, and safe usage of digital tools and resources that support the creation of a positive digital school culture. This course aligns with the NC Digital Teaching and Learning Competencies for local CEU credit awarded by each school district upon completion.

Career Training

Prepare for employment with short-term training that leads to national, state, or industry-recognized certifications. Courses include free orientations and possible financial aid for Certified Production Technician, Certified Logistics Technician, OSHA Training, Siemens Level I, as well as Notary, ServSafe, HVAC, and Electrical Contractors courses.

Healthcare

Interested in a Healthcare career? PCC offers courses in CPR, Nurse Aide I, II, and Refresher, Medication Aide, Medication Technician, and Cardiovascular Technician/Monitor!

College and Career Readiness (Adult Basic Skills)

PCC's Adult Basic Skills program offers FREE classes to those interested in preparing for the high school equivalency exam or simply needing to improve reading, writing, and basic math skills. Classes are also available in English as a Second Language! Online, as well as day and evening face-to-face classes offered!

Let the PCC team help you improve your job seeking skills with free computer classes and other tools to ensure you are ready to enter or re-enter the workforce!

Online Education

Consider online classes with PCC! We offer Medical Coding & Billing, Medical Transcription Editor, Medical Administrative Assistant with Electronic Health Records, as well as an array of classes through Ed2Go, with hundreds of topics from Anatomy to Languages to Web Design!

Public Safety Training

The Emergency Medical Science program provides you with the basic entry-level knowledge, skills, and attributes to provide advanced emergency medical care for critical and emergent patients who access the emergency medical system. You will gain complex knowledge, competency, and experience through classroom instruction, practical laboratory sessions, and clinical internships. It prepares graduates to enter the workforce. 
 
PCC also offers the nationally accredited Paramedic Program.  The program is accredited by the Committee on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (www.caahep.org) upon the recommendation of the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP).
 
PCC offers Fire and Rescue classes both for certification and non-certification.  These classes are offered at local fire departments and rescue squads.

PCC offers Law Enforcement Education.

Continuing Education

PCC's Continuing Education Division offers noncredit classes for personal or professional interests. Although college credit is limited (only advanced manufacturing courses have credit-by-exam options), you'll have the opportunity to earn career readiness units, certification, industry recognized credential, or other evidence of class completion for meeting your personal and professional development goals.
