Educational Opportunity Center (EOC)

The Educational Opportunity Center program provides counseling and information on college admissions to qualified adults who want to enter or continue a program of postsecondary education. To achieve this mission, EOC counselors assist with preparing applications for use by admissions and financial aid officers. The EOC serves eleven counties in North Carolina: Alamance, Caswell, Chatham, Durham, Franklin, Granville, Orange, Person, Rockingham, Vance and Warren.

Student Support Services (SSS)

The purpose of SSS is to improve the academic and life skills of  our participants  through educational opportunities. Our staff facilitate personal enrichment by providing the following services: Counseling, Academic Tutoring, College Transfer and Financial Aid Assistance, Seminars, Cultural Enrichment and Equipment Loan.

The goals of the SSS Program are:
  • To increase college retention and graduation rates for eligible students.
  • To increase the transfer rate of eligible students from 2 year to 4 year institutions.
  • To foster an institutional climate supportive of the success of low-income and first generation college students and individuals with disabilities. For more information call (336) 599-1181.
