PCC invites middle and high school students to participate in free, hands-on summer activities to help them learn about various programs of study and career options.

Those participating will discover the world of welding, health sciences, animation, agribusiness, mechatronics and more, through interactive experiences!

Ai Fundamentals

Gain a foundational understanding of artificial intelligence, including technical underpinnings like natural language processing, practical applications, and ethical considerations. Then, get some hands-on experience by building your own chatbot! Students will receive IBM Skills Badges (Digital) upon completion of the camp.

Agribusiness

In this camp, you will learn about plant and animal science! This is your chance to participate in classroom and field instruction. Build Dreams into Reality with Robotics

Explore the world of Robotics and Automation in the Mechatronics Engineering field! Hear all about the exciting careers in this high demand field while learning the fundamentals of Robotics. This hands-on camp covers the design and operation of Mechanical and Electrical Systems including Hydraulics and Pneumatics, Electrical Circuits, Mechanical Drives and Methods of Automation.

Nursing Camp: Give Nursing a Shot

This camp provides an interactive and hands-on introduction to the world of nursing and healthcare. Campers will explore the many roles’ nurses play in patient care through engaging activities and real-world experiences. Topics include basic nursing skills, infection control and patient safety, simulation lab experiences, community and healthcare teamwork, health technology, wound care, and CPR. Participants will have the opportunity to practice skills, work collaboratively, and gain insight into nursing careers in a fun and supportive environment.

Campers will build real-world welding skills through hands-on practice, exploring the differences between MIG and TIG welding techniques. PCC’s instructor will also cover key welding terminology and essential equipment safety to ensure a strong foundation in the craft.
