Student Development Department on the Person County Campus closed the morning of Wednesday, August 10

Piedmont Community College's Student Development Department on the Person County Campus will be closed until 12 noon on Wednesday, August 10, so staff can participate in professional development activities.

PCC will be closed Tuesday, August 9 for professional development; Early College, Summer Camp, and Child Development Center remain open

Piedmont Community College will close both its Person County Campus and its Caswell County Campus to the public on Tuesday, August 9, so that faculty and staff can participate in professional development activities. Students enrolled in the Person Early College for Innovation & Leadership (PECIL) will follow their normal schedule. The College’s Child Development Center and Summer Camp on the Person County Campus will also operate on a normal schedule.

Experience Tai Chi at Piedmont Community College

Tai Chi training has a well-deserved reputation for enhancing the body's abilities in balance, core strength, and stress reduction. It is known to relax the mind and the body as it releases tension and mental blockages, leaving clarity and peace for those who practice. The first Tai Chi class is scheduled for Tuesday, August 18.

Piedmont Community College and ECPI University create agreement to benefit students in Mechatronics Engineering Technology program

On Thursday, July 14, leaders from the two institutions signed an articulation agreement linking PCC’s new mechatronics program to ECPI’s Associate of Science in Electronics Engineering Technology with a Mechatronics concentration curriculum for the benefit of PCC students.

PCC’s Chief Academic Officer uses the pen to document women’s activism

Dr. Johnson and one other US peace scholar joined 12 other scholars from Germany, Poland, Italy, Austria, United Kingdom of Great Britain, Italy, and Switzerland in writing one of the 14 chapters of the book, Living War, Thinking Peace.

The Arc of Person County endows scholarship for PCC students

The earnings from this scholarship endowment will support second year PCC students who are enrolled in one of the following programs: Early Childhood Associate, Human Services Technology, Associate Degree Nursing, Medical Assisting, Criminal Justice Technology, or College Transfer program with plans to pursue a bachelor’s degree in the field of Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities.

PCC to continue five-day work week during summer; Rockness Monster Disc Golf Course also open for business

During the summer, Piedmont Community College will be open for its normal five-day work week. Office hours are 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday - Thursday and 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday. Person County Campus visitors may still visit PCC’s Nature Trail or disc golf course, The Rockness Monster, when the campus is open but the offices are closed.
