Piedmont Community College president announces retirement

President Walter C. Bartlett announced on Wednesday that he would retire from Piedmont Community College, effective July 1, 2017. Bartlett was appointed as the fourth president of PCC by the Board of Trustees in 2009.

PCC to offer Healthcare Provider CPR

OSHA Forklift training available at PCC

OSHA Forklift training provides instruction on the operation and maintenance of an industrial forklift. Core topics include forklift design, controls and instrumentation, pre-use inspection, safety awareness, and forklift stability. This course meets the training requirement for OSHA regulations.

Person County resident finds employment after completing PCC’s Workforce Development Program

After six months of training classes at PCC, Lorenzo Jay accepted a position at GKN Driveline in Roxboro as a material handler making $13.61 per hour. “Having the opportunity to take the Workforce Development courses has helped me to get off of food stamps and helped my overall financial being,” commented Jay.

The course will cover laws concerning the use of deadly force, laws governing areas concealed weapons may be carried, and rules and ideas for gun safety.
