Secretary of State Elaine Marshall to speak at event honoring academic success of Piedmont Community College Students

Students will be recognized for their academic success at Piedmont Community College during the 2016 Honors Convocation ceremony, Thursday, May 5 at 6 p.m. on the Person County Campus. The theme of the event is “Excellence without Excuse” and the event is open to the public.

Piedmont Community College’s mentoring program event makes connections and provides life lessons for students

A dinner was held for Minority Male Mentoring participants where students and community mentors met and began building relationships. Guest speakers included motivational speaker President of Metropolitan Community College-Penn Valley, Dr. Joseph Seabrooks, Jr., and professional golfer, Jimmy Thorpe.

Registration open now for 2nd eight-week classes at Piedmont Community College

If you missed the deadline to enroll for college classes at Piedmont Community College for Spring 2016, it’s not too late! PCC will offer several “late start” courses this Spring beginning March 10. Each course is designed as an accelerated eight-week session and will run through mid-May.

Duke Energy awards $151,058 to Piedmont Community College

Piedmont Community College (PCC) has received a $151,058 investment grant from the Duke Energy Foundation. The funds will be used to enhance PCC’s Electrical Power Plant Technology and Electrical Systems Technology programs to address skill gaps identified by eight employer partners.
