Bustamante named 2017 PCC Alumnus of the Year

Piedmont Community College graduates to hear from Martin Community College President and Alumnus of the Year on May 19

PCC will host its 47th graduation ceremony. Weather permitting, the event will be held at the Person High School stadium at 7 p.m. and is open to the public. During the ceremony, students and guests will hear from Jeanean Bustamante, 2017 PCC Alumnus of the Year and Dr. Kenneth A. Boham, Interim President at Martin Community College.

TV journalist and PCC graduate Tim Pulliam to speak at event honoring academic success of Piedmont Community College Students

Pulliam grew up in Person County, graduating with an Associate in Arts degree from Piedmont Community College prior to transferring to Winston-Salem State University. He returns to encourage PCC students during the second annual Honors Convocation ceremony on April 27. This event is at the Kirby Cultural Arts Complex and is open to the community.

Former Cosmetology Instructor remembered with scholarship at Piedmont Community College

For 25 years Leona Aldridge devoted her professional career to Piedmont Community College. During these years she took every opportunity to continue her education and share her knowledge with the students. Donations to the Leona Page Aldridge Scholarship fund are being accepted from former students and co-workers, as well as family and friends.

The Arc of Person County endows scholarship for PCC students

The earnings from this scholarship endowment will support second year PCC students who are enrolled in one of the following programs: Early Childhood Associate, Human Services Technology, Associate Degree Nursing, Medical Assisting, Criminal Justice Technology, or College Transfer program with plans to pursue a bachelor’s degree in the field of Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities.
