Bustamante named 2017 PCC Alumnus of the Year

Piedmont Community College graduates to hear from Martin Community College President and Alumnus of the Year on May 19

PCC will host its 47th graduation ceremony. Weather permitting, the event will be held at the Person High School stadium at 7 p.m. and is open to the public. During the ceremony, students and guests will hear from Jeanean Bustamante, 2017 PCC Alumnus of the Year and Dr. Kenneth A. Boham, Interim President at Martin Community College.

TV journalist and PCC graduate Tim Pulliam to speak at event honoring academic success of Piedmont Community College Students

Pulliam grew up in Person County, graduating with an Associate in Arts degree from Piedmont Community College prior to transferring to Winston-Salem State University. He returns to encourage PCC students during the second annual Honors Convocation ceremony on April 27. This event is at the Kirby Cultural Arts Complex and is open to the community.

Hospital Auxiliary contributes additional $18,000 to scholarship fund at PCC

In 2013, the Person Memorial Hospital Auxiliary donated $25,000 to the Piedmont Community College Foundation, creating a new scholarship endowment. This year, members of the Auxiliary contributed another $18,000 to the fund, increasing the number of scholarships that will be awarded to PCC students.
