Piedmont Community College (PCC) will offer the Working Smart training on January 11 – February 8. This class will meet 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays at PCC’s Workforce Training Center located at 303 S. Morgan Street in Roxboro.

Working Smart is a North Carolina soft-skills program created by the Charlotte Mecklenburg Workforce Developmental Partners for meeting employer needs. It is designed to provide job-seekers the work and life skills that enhance employee productivity. Employers are looking for candidates who have the "soft-skills" that lead to success in the following ways: communication, problem solving skills, time management, accountability, and more.

Upon completion, you will possess the employability skills most important to employers. In addition, you will receive a certificate from Charlotte Works that is validated by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Workforce Development Partners. This helps you stand out from the crowd and gives you a competitive edge as a job-seeker or employee working toward a promotion.

To enroll in the Working Smart training or for more information, contact PCC’s Workforce Development Team at (336) 322-2156. Financial assistance is available to qualified unemployed, underemployed, and economically distressed individuals.
