Satterfield hired as PCC Foundation’s Executive Director
Piedmont Community College (PCC) President Walter C. Bartlett announced that Allison Satterfield has been hired as executive director of the PCC Foundation. She will join the College staff in January 2017.
Satterfield will be responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the PCC Foundation. She will also work closely with the 22 member Board of Directors on an annual fund drive, planned and deferred giving, capital and major gift campaigns, and cultivating philanthropy to support higher education and new opportunities in Person and Caswell counties.
“I am confident that Allison will bring talent, energy, and focus to the PCC Foundation,” commented Bartlett. “She will be a tremendous asset to our team and I know everyone is looking forward to her joining us in January.”
Satterfield has owned Sandfoot Photography in Person County since 2007. Prior to owning this business, she was an account executive for MMI Associates, Inc. in Raleigh, N.C. where she maintained the public relations needs of clients from multiple industries and backgrounds, assisted in planning and implementing events, and provided crisis management tools.
A member of the Executive Planning Committee of the Big Bad Ball, an event for Hospice of Wake County, Satterfield assisted in event planning, public relations, and raising funds for the $100,000 plus fundraiser from 2005-2007.
Satterfield holds a bachelor's degree in Public Relations from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
An active member in the community, Satterfield volunteers with several organizations, including Relay for Life, Rock & Reel Bass Fishing Tournament, and Roxboro Area Chamber of Commerce. She is also a member of the Person County 4-H Board of Directors and a Sunday School teacher at Theresa Baptist Church.
