“Financing Options for Small Businesses” offered as free seminar at PCC


Piedmont Community College’s Small Business Center will offer a free seminar “Financing Options for Small Businesses,” on Thursday, April 21 from 6-8 p.m. at the Business Development and Entrepreneurship Center, 105 N. Main St., Roxboro.

Financing continues to be a challenge for many small business owners. Questions range from, “Who will give me money for my business idea?” and “What do they need from me?” to “How will this business make money?” and “Will it be enough to pay back a loan or attract an investor?”

Get to the heart of business financing in this free seminar that answers your questions. Explore the advantages and disadvantages of the different types of funding sources and how to choose the right one for your needs. Discover the keys to financing success.

Presenter Melissa Terrell is the Assistant Director for Women's Business Center of North Carolina where she assists women entrepreneurs at all stages of development by conducting one-on-one counseling and teaching workshops on entrepreneurship and business development.

Terrell is responsible for the marketing and promotion of the WBC Program through social media, email marketing, and website. She assists the Director with the required monthly program reporting, and compiles critical demographic information and data on women business entrepreneurs across North Carolina. Terrell is a graduate of the University of Phoenix and a Certified Facilitator, NC REAL Curriculum in Entrepreneurship.

Although the seminar will be offered at no cost to participants, pre-registration is required by April 19. To register, call the BDEC at (336) 599-0032.
