Piedmont Community College (PCC) will offer a “DIY: Build A Computer” course in D120 on the Person County Campus. The class will meet on the following dates: May 4, 6, 8, 18, and 20 from 6 - 8 p.m.

This computer repair course covers the basic hardware of a personal computer. Students will learn how to build a PC. Topics include component identification memory system, peripheral installation and configuration, and hardware diagnostics/repair. Upon completion, students should be able to select appropriate computer equipment, install/upgrade PC components, and troubleshoot/repair non-functioning PC components. The registration fee for the course is $70, plus the purchase of a $22.42 PC toolkit. Computers built in the class will remain property of PCC. The deadline to register and pay the registration fee is 3 p.m., Friday, May 1. For further information or to register, call Lisa Ashley, (336) 322-2113.
