PCC cosmetology students take honors in competition

Cosmetology program received honors in the North Carolina
Cosmetology, Aesthetics, and Nails Association (NCCAN) Student Competition in
Greensboro recently. PCC offers the Cosmetology program on its Person County Campus
and its Caswell County Campus, and both programs earned recognition in the
competition. Twelve PCC students competed in four categories.
Awards included: first
place in Team Competition, Caswell County program; team members Terry
Hazelwood, Danielle Hiett, Uniqua Haith, and Shermisha Pointer; second and
third place in Twisty Braid Competition, Person County program, students Dwaun
Lunsford and Erika Edmunds; and third place in Photo Competition, Person County
program, student Tiffany Cash.
PCC ’s Cosmetology
program is offered in state-of-the-art facilities on both its campuses. On the
Person County Campus, the Cosmetology program debuted newly-renovated
facilities for the current semester. Completely new Cosmetology facilities
opened on the Caswell County Campus when the program began in Fall Semester
During Spring Semester,
the Caswell County Campus Cosmetology program will offer a new option: a
certificate program in manicuring that will allow students to complete all
requirements for licensing in just one semester! For more information about
