Have you lost your job? Has it been a while since you participated in an interview? Have you had several interviews that didn’t turn out like you wanted? Let Piedmont Community College teach you how to successfully interview for jobs in today’s labor market with its class, “Interviewing Skills for the Job Seeker,” provided through the College’s Human Resources Development program to assist unemployed workers in obtaining good interviewing skills.

A new class is being formed now and till begin Monday, Aug. 27 and continue through Sept. 24. The class will be held on Monday and Wednesday afternoons from 1-4 p.m. Report to the College’s Workforce Training Center located at 303 S. Morgan Street, next to the Huck Sansbury Park, on Monday at 1 p.m. if you wish to participate. You must enroll this first day of class to reserve your spot. This class will be taught by Kelly Schelin.

In today’s competitive labor market, not only do you have to have great skills, but you also must know how to communicate those skills to a potential employer. The most popular question asked by an employer in an interview is “Why should I hire you?” If you can’t answer this question, then who can? According to employers, less than 10% of all job seekers are able to answer this question adequately. This new class will teach you how to answer this question and many others that are asked by local employers trying to secure workers to fill their job openings.
