Piedmont Community College’s Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)-Paramedic program has received its initial accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Educational Programs. As a result, PCC students who successfully complete the accredited five-semester program will be eligible to take the EMT-Paramedic National Registry Certification Exam and the N.C. Office of Emergency Medical Services State Exam. Students who pass the National Registry Exam will be eligible for employment in any U.S. state that requires EMT-Paramedic National Registry certification in order to work as a paramedic.
