Piedmont Community College’s Business Development and Entrepreneurship Center (BDEC) will offer a class, “Searching on the Internet,” that will meet on Tuesdays, April 3—May 8. The class will meet from 9 a.m. until 12 noon at the BDEC, 105 N. Main St., Roxboro. Kathleen Kersey will be the instructor.  

This course will introduce you to the World Wide Web for today’s more popular uses including terminology and the basics of browsing the web pages. While using a web browser you will learn how to search for websites, which aids in finding information quickly on the web. Sufficient amount of time for hands-on practice will be provided in this short course which doesn’t cover e-mail. A solid foundation in Windows as well as working knowledge of the computer keyboard and mouse are needed.
