PCC to offer Orientation to CPT Training
Piedmont Community College
offer a second session of its Certified Production Technician (CPT) training
with a required orientation class, “Orientation to CPT Training.” The class
will begin Tuesday, March 27, and will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays through
April 19. Classes will be held from 9 a.m.-noon and 1-4 p.m. at PCC’s Workforce
Training Center, 303 S. Morgan St., and Roxboro.
Individuals will receive training in basic computer skills and study and
test-taking skills and will have an opportunity to earn their North Carolina
Career Readiness Certificate. This course is required for anyone planning to
take the Certified Production Technician (CPT) Training course, which will be
held May 8-June 20. That class will meet from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. on Tuesdays,
Wednesdays and Thursdays with a lunch break from noon-1 p.m.
Certified Production Technician course will provide training for national
certification in four areas: safety awareness, manufacturing processes, quality
practices, and maintenance awareness.

CPT program is being offered by PCC’s Workforce Certification Academy,
sponsored by the College Human Resources Development Program.
