Computers for New Users
Piedmont Community College’s Business
Development and Entrepreneurship Center (BDEC) will offer a class, “Computers
for New Users,” on Mondays, Feb. 13-April 2, from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at the BDEC, 105 N. Main St., Roxboro. Marion Anthony-Jordan will be
the instructor. Cost will be $65 plus cost of the textbook.
This course is designed for the brand
new computer user. It will introduce the student to the parts of a personal
computer and some common computer terminology. The student will learn general
concepts that will help them work in a Windows environment on the computer;
will also practice using a mouse and the keyboard; and will also learn the
basics of sending, receiving, and replying to e-mail messages using a webmail
account. No prior computer knowledge is needed for the class, but a USB flash
drive is required.
