Lost your job? Come to a new
Piedmont Community College (PCC) class to find the best job for you! If you are unemployed, this class is free.
PCC’s Human Resources Development program will offer “Computer Technology for Job Search” beginning Wednesday, Jan. 18. The
class will meet each Monday and Wednesday from 1-4 p.m. on PCC’s Caswell County
Campus in Yanceyville. The class is for job seekers to learn new job search
techniques through the use of technology.
In today’s slow economy, job
seekers must have the very best skills to compete for the few jobs that are
available. If you’ve recently lost your job and haven’t looked for work in a
long time, you’ve probably learned already that looking for work now is totally
different from the way you got your last job. Let PCC teach you how to
successfully look for work using the Internet. You will learn basic computer
skills and how technology has changed the workplace. You also will learn how to
fill out online applications, use resume builders and conduct job searches on
This eight-week class will be
held at the Caswell JobLink Career Center on the second floor of Building K,
Room 213 on PCC’s Caswell Campus. Space is limited, so you must enroll by
Monday, Jan. 23, to reserve your spot in the class.
