PCC preps for reaffirmation
Piedmont Community College faculty and staff have been involved in meetings with Dr. Barry Goldstein,Vice President, Southern Association Of Colleges and Schools, Commission on
Colleges (SACS-COC) yesterday and today as it prepares for reaffirmation of the College's accreditation by the SACS-COC. Dr. Goldstein, pictured above, met with College committees who are reviewing the PCC's compliance with SACS standards and preparing the College's Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) as part of the reaffirmation process. The QEP Steering Committee is shown above as it gets advice from Dr. Goldstein on Monday. Information sessions were also held with the College's full-time faculty and staff and with the PCC Board of Trustees, PCC Foundation Board members, and student leaders. PCC will have an on-site visit from a SACS visiting team in early October and will submit required reports and documentation to SACS in March and June prior to that visit. The College will be eligible for reaffirmation by SACS in 2013.
