Piedmont Community College’s Business Development and Entrepreneurship Center (BDEC) will hold a free seminar, “It’s Not About the Money: How to Motivate, Mentor, and Manage Great Employees,” on Thursday, Sept. 8, from 6-9 p.m. at the BDEC, 105 N. Main St., Roxboro. Sarah Levitt will be the presenter.

This seminar explores what truly works to keep employees motivated so that any company can have a workforce that's committed to it and can get the best return on its labor dollars. Participants will learn simple, highly-effective, low-cost strategies for motivating employees for long term retention, in addition to the fundamentals of mentoring and managing. Easy to implement, these techniques are the essence of keeping good employees. No matter what business you're in, retaining productive, loyal employees is essential to the bottom line. Learn how to keep the superstars once you've hired them.

Although the seminar will be offered at no cost to participants, registration is required. To register, call the BDEC at (336) 599-0032.
