Overview

The Human Services Technology General Curriculum prepares students for entry-level positions in institutions and agencies which provide social, community, and educational services. Along with core courses, students take courses which prepare them for specialization in specific human service areas (click on the link below for a list of required courses and additional information)

Employment Outlook

Graduates should qualify for positions in mental health, child care, family services, social services, rehabilitation, correction, and educational agencies. Graduates choosing to continue their education may select from a variety of transfer programs at senior public and private institutions.

Admissions Process

-Submit a completed Application for Admission to the Office of Admissions

-Submit official transcript(s) of high school course work to the Office of Admissions

-Official GED scores or transcript of course for the Adult High School Diploma may be submitted in lieu of the high school transcript.

-Complete the Admission Placement Test

-Consult with the office of Admissions for further details and/or questions related to the admission process.

The printed format is a combined brochure for both Curriculum classes and Continuing Education courses available for the Fall 2018 semester. The printed brochure will be available starting on June 11 on both campuses and other locations in both Person and Caswell Counties. They will also be mailed to over 27,000 homes in both counties.

2018 Fall Curriculum Schedule on WebAdvisor

WebAdvisor offers a secure web interface that allows you to access the class schedule on PCC’s Datatel Colleague system. If you are not a current PCC student, you can view the upcoming semester’s class schedule. This allows you to look up course sections and plan out your schedule. If you are a current PCC student, you may register for classes online using the Colleague system.
