Registration and Paying for Courses
Welcome and thank you for choosing Piedmont Community College for your Continuing Education and Workforce Development needs. In this section you will find information regarding registration fees, refund policy, and repeat policy. You will also find a link to our course schedules.
Registration fees are established in compliance with North Carolina law and vary according to the type and length of course. Current registration fees are:
Occupational Extension Course Fee Schedule:
0-24 hours, $70;
25-50 hours, $125; and
51+ hours, $180.
Self Supporting Courses
Self Supporting course fees vary. Please consult the course schedule for registration fees. Tuition waivers may not be used for Self Supporting courses.
A student who officially withdraws from a course prior
to the first day of class, will be eligible for a 100 percent refund, if requested. Classes that are canceled do not require a request from a student for a refund and will be refunded at 100 percent. A 75 percent refund shall be made if the student officially withdraws from the course on the first day of the course, or prior to the official 10 percent point, if requested. No refund is available after the 10 percent point. In order to receive a refund, the student must officially withdraw from the class.
State regulations require that students who take an Occupational Extension course more than twice within a five-year period shall pay a registration fee based on self-supporting rates, not the Occupational Extension Fee Schedule. For a job-related course taken more than twice in a five-year period, students must pay for the course at the higher self-supporting rate, unless the student is required to repeat the course for certification or license renewal.
