Pediatric Advanced Life Support course for registered nurses and paramedics offered through PCC

Piedmont Community College’s Business Development and Entrepreneurship Center (BDEC) will offer, “Pediatric Advanced Life Support,” on Tuesday and Thursday, December 1 and 3, from 6 – 10 p.m. at the Public Safety Training Center (PSTC) located at 337 Wall Street in Yanceyville. The cost of the class is $76.50, which includes a Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) card.

PALS is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that uses a series of simulated pediatric emergencies to reinforce the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation and team dynamics. The goal of the PALS course is to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children, resulting in improved outcomes. Must be a Registered Nurse or Paramedic to take this course.
