Workforce Certification Academy© Training:
The mission of the Workforce Certification Academy© is to meet workforce needs and to prepare individuals for employment by providing demand-driven, short-term training that leads to national, state, or industry-recognized certifications. Courses include:
Orientation to Certified Production Technician (CPT) - Students are introduced to the field of advanced manufacturing and earn a NC Career Readiness Certificate.
Orientation to Certified Logistics Technician (CLT) - Students are introduced to the field of Logistics (transportation and distributions) and earn a NC Career Readiness Certificate.
Certified Production Technician (CPT) - The CPT course provides training for national certification in four areas: Safety Awareness, Manufacturing Processes, Quality Practices, and Maintenance Awareness.
Certified Logistics Technician (CLT) - The CLT training provides two national credentials; Certified Logistics Associate and a mid-level Certified Logistics Technician. These certifications are nationally validated skills standards which prepare individuals for frontline jobs in material handling, manufacturing factories, warehouses, distribution centers, and transportation.
OSHA 10 Training - The OSHA 10 certification course for General Industry provides training for entry level workers and employers on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of safety and health hazards in the workplace.
OHSA Forklift - This course provides instruction on the operation and maintenance of an industrial forklift. Core topics include forklift design, controls and instrumentation, pre-use inspection, safety awareness, and forklift stability. This course meets the training requirements for OSHA regulations.

Green Production - Green Production is defined as workplace activities across all industries within the manufacturing sector that require the use of equipment, technologies, and processes that will improve the environmental performance of manufacturing companies. The GPM Certificate expands far beyond just workers in green product sites (e.g., wind, solar equipment producers).
