Performance Measures

In June 2012, the State General Assembly adopted new Performance Measures for Student Success reflecting the goals of the North Carolina Community College System three-year strategic plan, SuccessNC. The original measures were developed by a system-wide committee of community college leadership, faculty and staff.  The 2016 Report incorporates refinements to all the measures except Licensure and Certification Passing Rate.

The table below describes the new performance measures and reports initial PCC performance on each measure in the report 2016 Performance Measures for Student Success. The reporting format includes a System Baseline for minimum performance and a System Goal for optimal performance, as well as the System Mean (average score for all 58 Community Colleges), in addition to the Piedmont Community College scores.
