Due to inclement weather, Piedmont Community College’s Adult Basic Skills Program has extended its enrollment for this spring semester through March 31.

Adults who lack a high school education or, those who are not proficient at a high school level in reading and math skills are eligible to attend these free classes. Students choose from a menu of day or evening or Saturday classes and a format of classes that include classes, labs or online instruction. Instruction is designed to improve students’ academic skills in language arts (reading and writing), math, social studies, science, and computer literacy. This program is offered at both Person and Caswell campuses and is designed for students who are non-readers to those seeking a High School Equivalency (HSE) credential (through GED® testing) or college readiness skills.

For more information, contact Sylvia Gault on the Person County Campus in Room E120, or call 322-2155 or e-mail sylvia.gault@piedmontcc.edu. In Caswell County, contact Lori Watlington in Building K, Room 157, or call 694-8057, or e-mail Lori.watlington@piedmontcc.edu.
