Miss NC, media personalities to judge Rockin' in Roxboro
Four celebrity judges will be in Roxboro on Saturday night, Jan. 25, to judge the Rockin' in Roxboro talent show being sponsored by Piedmont Community College's Phi Theta Kappa honor society. The event will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Kirby Theater. The judges will be Johna A. Edmonds, the reigning Miss North Carolina; radio personality Cody Clark of WQDR; and television personalities Mike Morse of WNCN-TV and Brian Shrader of WRAL-TV. The event is a benefit for the Kirby Rebirth: Upstairs-Uptown project, and tickets are just $10.

Clark, whose hometown is Medford, MA worked for radio stations in Boston,
Virginia, Upstate New York, and Philadelphia before coming to Raleigh as Music
Director and Night Time Personality for WQDR radio. This country music fan’s
other interests include all sports and creating his own dishes.
Johna A. Edmonds
Alexandria Edmonds is the reigning Miss North Carolina 2013 and uses her
platform to promote literacy in America’s youth. A graduate of NC State
University (NCSU), she is pursuing a Master’s of Accounting degree at NCSU and
plans to become a Certified Public Accountant. She is an active board
member of the Helps Education Fund, a non-profit organization committed to supporting
educators and improving learning outcomes for students.
Morse is Host of WNCN-TV’s show, My Carolina Today. His broadcasting career
began in radio at Mix 101 and the Bill and Sheri Show, before he moved on to
the Showgram on G105, where he enjoyed nine years of unprecedented ratings
success and popularity. Mike also owns and operates Morse Entertainment,
a popular mobile DJ company in the Triangle.
native Brian Shrader is fulfilling his life-long dream now that he’s become a
reporter/anchor for WRAL-TV in Raleigh. He began working with the company in
2006 as a WRAL.com reporter and advanced through the ranks as a web producer, a
producer for News 14 Carolina in Raleigh, a reporter/anchor for WPTF-AM radio,
and a web editor/assignment editor for WRAL-TV.
