Piedmont Community College’s Adult Basic Skills program recently named the winners in its ACE family literacy read-a-thon. The contest encouraged parents to read to their children. Reading the most books during the read-a-thon was Skyla Currie, who was presented a Palace Pointe gift card. Second place winner was Christy Gabriel, who received a book and a character doll. All read-a-thon participants received certificates of participation. ACE is a literacy program for parents and meets at Earl Bradsher Preschool. For more information, call (336) 322-2155.
